Spiritual/Healing

spir·it·u·al:ˈspiriCH(o͞o)əl/
adjective:

Cultural

cul·ture: /ˈkəlCHər/

noun:

  1. the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.

Cultural travel is for the person/people who prefer to immerse themselves in the environment that they travel to and make it home for a time rather than check into a big resort and be pampered from head to tow for a week or two.

Cultural travel goes above and beyond cultural exploration or discovery; it involves a transformation in ones life.  It’s the type of travel that emphasizes experiencing life within that wonderful unique place on earth rather than from the outside.

If you enjoy being a “tourist” then you’re not likely a cultural traveler as tourism is the antithesis of cultural travel.

Cultural travel is for the traveler who wants to get to know the neighborhoods and shop for their own food at the local markets.  It’s for the traveler who wants to interact with the locals and learn the language/dialect of the region and serve the people and work with them in their communities and not disrupt the way of life by leaving as little a footprint behind in their wake once they depart.

By the time they leave to go home, the cultural traveler is known by the families in the area where they stayed, they know the names of the children in the neighborhood  and a true heartfelt connection has been made.

Many niche forms of cultural travel have developed over the last decade or so, things like “Sustainable Tourism”, ‘Responsible Tourism” and “Voluntourism”.

A cultural traveler is in as much need of the services at Qmooniti as any traveler out there as these type of trips require a deep and intimate knowledge of the region where the traveler is headed.  Successfully planning a cultural trip requires leveraging relationships in the region and doing a deep micro-dive into research for the safety and enjoyment of the traveler, the communities they will enter and the environment that surrounds all.  Just the type of services that Qmooniti was created for.
